Our client is currently recruiting for a Welding engineer with extensive experience in major materials engineering roles in the O&G construction environment.
This role will involve interpreting specifications, setting up and qualifying welding procedures and welder qualifications and transferrring these from lab to laybarge.
The successful applicant will have experience as a welding engineer in oil and gas construction enviornment and will be qualified as a Eurpean Welding Engineer.
You will be willing to work flexibly in terms of assignments to the welding lab and vessels. International travel and offshore work are an inherent part of this job.
The ability to work as part of a diverse team is essential.
The successful applicant must be educated to degree level in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
