Our client is currently recruiting for a Structural Integrity/Stress Engineer to join their rapidly growing team of structural integrity analysts providing technical consultancy services to the oil and gas onshore, offshore and sub-sea industries.
As a senior member of the team you will provide technical advice, undertake technical projects, support business development activities and develop and manage opportunities, proposals and projects.
Typically you will provide technical support to projects covering a range of skills including:
- Implicit and explicit, linear and non-linear finite element analysis
- Use of analysis tools to support investigations into the life extension and cause of failures of structures, pressure vessels and pipework
- Fitness for service assessments of failing or deteriorated components
- Engineering Criticality Assessments
- Use of analysis tools to push the boundaries of code-based assessments to reduce conservatisms and provide robust justification of structural integrity
- Pipework stress analysis
Requirements: -
You will have a background in the oil and gas industry with experience in a wide range of projects and technical disciplines as well as a good knowledge of fixed and floating offshore and sub-sea structures and process plant.
Successful candidates will have a solid understanding of finite element analysis assessment techniques, engineering structural integrity assessment fundamentals and typical analysis codes and standards used within the oil and gas industry.
You will possess a strong degree or PhD in an engineering or similar related subject.
