Our client is now looking to recruit a Site Operations Manager to join their existing team in Norfolk.

Site Operations Manager (Biomass) - Norfolk

Our client is a leading Biomass energy company. The company has developed an industry leading process which transfers energy from a renewable source, used cooking oil, into carbon neutral electricity.

Our client is looking to recruit a Site Operations Manager to ensure the plant operation is managed efficiently and effectively. To include, but not be limited to, the receipt and testing of Used Cooking Oil, production, site health and safety, site administration, site housekeeping, site improvement and UCO collection planning.

Responsibilities
• Health and Safety: To ensure that all legislative requirements on site are adhered to and continuously improved. To ensure that all Risk Assessments and Method Statements are in place and understood by all reports. To ensure that all COSHH assessments are understood and worked to by all reports.
• Production: To ensure that the product is continuously produced to minimum standards and tested in line with company requirements.
• Administration: To ensure all UCO deliveries and collections are recorded in line with company requirements. To ensure that all legislative requirements for Waste Transfer are met. To ensure the effective keeping of all daily records.
• Housekeeping: To ensure a Site Improvement Plan is in place and improvements are achieved on a continuous basis. To ensure that a clean and tidy operation is maintained at all times.
• Route Planning: To ensure that all UCO Collection planning is optimised in the most cost-effective manner.
• Communication: To ensure that all site activities are reported to defined parties on a daily basis.
• Customer Service: To identify and meet the needs of all delegated Customers and to offer advice, give support and problem solve when required.

Knowledge Base
• Product/Technical: A sound knowledge of the properties of Used Cooking Oil required for effective production. IT and Communication Systems: Possesses a sound working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook. To understand the SCADA system.
• Commercial Processes: To have a basic understanding of the commercial processes operating within the business and the procedures that are in place for decision making.
• Company: The structure and operating lines in existence.
• Partners: Develop a thorough understanding of key partners of the business.

• IT: The ability to effectively use Excel, Word and Outlook in meeting the needs of the business.
