Our client is currently recruiting for a Senior Process Safety Engineer for their operations in Abu Dhabi.
Qualifications/Experience: -
- Have Degree or equivalent qualifications in a numerate and or engineering discipline.
- Have project experience on conceptual, FEED and detailed design stages of large scale hydrocarbon-based projects
- Have relevant experience in Process Safety Engineering
- Have a good understanding of fire & gas and fire fighting specificationsHave a good understanding and relevant experience in hazardous area classification
- Have ability to work in a team and be self motivated
- Good personal, diplomatic, supervisory, written and presentational skills
- The job holder is responsible for providing process safety engineering deliverables and support to in relation to all aspects of projects.
- Undertake general responsibilities as required within HSE Management System
- Promote and support the identification, assessment and management of the HSE risks and opportunities in the project in line with the Corporate principles
- Support the management of Process Safety Engineering issues and interfaces within the project as required, including Loss Prevention Engineering activities such as Safety Systems design and Safety Philosophies development, Consequence analyses (fire, explosion, toxic gas dispersion), QRA and Safety Case Development
- Responsible for Process Safety advice and support to the HSE activities, including preparation of documents as required
- Support the identification and execution of studies including PHA, HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP, SIL and QRA or identify, quantify and mitigate HSE risks
- Supervision of safety/risk engineering resources to ensure timely delivery of data & analyses
- Interface with othewr engineering disciplines associated with the project to review risk analysis input data and risk assessments
- Ensuring that design data is provided in timely manner
- Ensuring effective communication/liaison is maintained between the HSE Group and safety engineers on related safety matters
- Providing QRA support and co-ordinating QRA activities as required in the identification, analysis and assessment of HSE risks
- Assist in the Development of Safety Critical Elements and Performance Standards
- Co-ordinate, and provide input into, the work of contractors providing safety study support to the Project
- Develop, author and complete safety engineering documents as required
- Review of all HSE design related documents
- Support processes and documentation that are required for the HSE aspects of permitting
- Undertake general admin HSE duties as required
