Our client is currently recruiting for a Reliability engineer – Rotating equipment for a potentially long-term contract within their client’s offices in London.

 This position will recommend and implement changes in rotating equipment systems to improve reliability, operability, reduce downtime and increase throughput.  He/she will also help improve and administer existing preventive and predictive maintenance activities, such as investigate rotating equipment failures, reviewing and approving rotating equipment design calculations, upgrading equipment, and troubleshooting rotating equipment failures.

 
Key Responsibilities: -
 
- Provide technical assistance/troubleshooting assistance in resolving rotating equipment design, operation and maintenance problems; contact internal and external experts as required. 
- Utilize reliability tools such as failure calculations, failure evaluations, and cost analysis to improve reliability of rotating equipment systems. 
- Write DSPs (decision support packages) for equipment upgrades including financial justification (life cycle cost analysis) 
- Develop and review turnaround work lists and scopes for critical. 
- Lead investigation teams to solve recurring rotating equipment failures. 
- Provide leadership and decision making skills during turnarounds and unplanned equipment outages regarding repair solutions. 
- Provide technical expertise and support to capital project development 
- Display a commitment to training and continuous improvement through innovation 
- Periodically review of rotating equipment corporate specifications for potential improvement based on industry and site specific experience 
- Help establish equipment monitoring plans and control limits. 
- Conduct post-audits to measure the effectiveness of significant reliability related projects and activities. 
- Develop cost justification for reliability improvement projects. 
- Prepare reports that monitor and track reliability indicators. 
- Provide technical resources and training to support our reliability programs. 
 
Qualifications – Minimum of BSC in Mechanical Engineering, at top end you may have Chartered Status.
 
You will have a minimum of 7 years experience as a Reliability Engineer within a Rotating equipment role in the Petrochemical industry.
