This leading EFW developer is now looking to recruit a Project Engineer with experience in EFW (Energy from Waste) to join their team based in the West Midlands.
Our client is a major supplier of Energy from Waste (EFW). With offices in the UK, USA and Asia they currently operate 38 EFW plants worldwide and processes in excess of 14 million tonnes of municipal waste each year.
Our client is now looking to recruit a Project Engineer to join their existing team based in the West Midlands. Candidates must have experience in developing power generation projects with experience in developing Energy from Waste projects being preferred. Our client would be particularly keen to receive applications from engineers with experience in a number of engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, electrical etc). Applicants must also have experience in Power Plant design and should be able to review design drawings produced by consultants as well as having experience in preparing specifications and contracts.
This is a key role within the organisation which will allow the company to expand it's operation within the UK. The successful candidate will be involved in building a team of engineers which he/she will be required to lead and manage.
The successful applicant will be involved with:
• Design and Development
• Preparing technical specifications and contracts
• Bid support
• Liasing with suppliers, contractors, and utilities.
• Managing consultants.
• Cost management
• Developing project programmes
• Quality procedures
• Health, Safety and Environmental issues
Candidates wishing to apply must be able to show or demonstrate:
• Degree qualified in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil engineering or equivalent.
• Strong project engineering background preferably in the power industry
• Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental procedures
• Experience in preparing detailed project programmes
• Experience in managing contractors and consultants.
• Experienced in working with utilities
• Knowledge of quality control/assurance
• Strong communication skills
• Strong team player, with the ability to take a hand’s on approach
The role will be based in our clients' head office in the West Midlands but the successul candidate will be required to travel reguarly to sites.
In addition to an excellent salary of between £45,000-£50,000 our client is offering an excellent benefits package including a Car Allowance, 25 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays, Medical Insurance, Bonus Scheme & Pension Contribution.
