Our client is looking to recruit a Production Manager to join their existing team in Norfolk.
Production Manager (Biomass) - Norfolk
Our client is a leading Biomass energy company. The company has developed an industry leading process which transfers energy from a renewable source, used cooking oil, into carbon neutral electricity.
Our client is looking to recruit a Production Manager to ensure the production at our client’s plant is undertaken in a safe, efficient and clean operating environment. To include, but not be limited to, the production, the physical receipt and testing of Used Cooking Oil, operating to site health and safety rules, administration of UCO receipts, administration of despatches and developing continuous improvements in site housekeeping.
Responsibilities
• Health and Safety: To ensure that our client’s product is produced in line with legislative requirements and assisting with continuous improvements. To ensure that all Risk Assessments and Method Statements are worked to. To understand all COSHH assessments and that all directives are followed by staff operating within production area.
• Production: To continuously ensure production is kept to absolute minimum standards and tested in line with company requirements. To maintain sufficient storage capacity for the rolling receipt of UCO in line with defined delivery schedules.
• To ensure that the product is available for all Gensets at all times.
• Administration: To ensure all UCO received at the plant is recorded in line with company requirements. To ensure that all legislative requirements for Waste Transfer have been met. To ensure all daily records are efficiently kept.
• Housekeeping: To ensure that site improvements are achieved on a continuous basis. To ensure that a clean and tidy operation is maintained at all times. To ensure all IBCs and non-static storage facilities are stored in bunded areas at all times.
Knowledge Base
• Product/Technical: A sound knowledge of the properties of Used Cooking Oil required for effective production.
• IT and Communication Systems: Possesses a basic working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook. To understand the SCADA system.
• Company: The structure and operating lines in existence.
• Partners: Develop a basic understanding as to whom the key partners of the business are.
Skill Set
• IT: The ability to efficiently use Excel, Word and Outlook in meeting the needs of the business.
• Telephone: Basic use of the telephone, using a professional style in line with the company standards of telephone communication.

The successful candidate will take on the role of Production Manager reporting to the Commercial Manager at our client’s biomass plant in Norfolk.
