Our client is currently recruiting a Maintenance Engineer for Rotating equipment to be based out of their London office.

The successful applicant will have experience documenting and assessing equipment on numerous UK and global assets. Most of the work will be carried out from the clients London offices with the possibility of some travel if required.

You will hold a strong engineering degree and will ideally have chartered status.

You will be responsible for documenting, specification, selection, and services relating to mechanical equipment such as rotating machinery, pressure vessels, atmospheric storage tanks, fired and unfired heat transfer equipment, utility equipment, packaged units, material handling and solids processing systems.

The role of a mechanical engineer is highly valued and will involve extensive interface with the client, project management, suppliers, corporate management, and the global team of mechanical engineers employed throughout worldwide offices.

The minimum qualification requirements for this position are a first degree in Mechanical Engineering and a full professional qualification as a Chartered Engineer (full member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers or a recognised equivalent).

Personnel would be expected to have a varied and extensive experience of the onshore and offshore oil and gas project environment.
 
A specialist and detailed knowledge of the major mechanical equipment types, to include machinery, and fabricated or packaged equipment, is required. Field experience in the manufacturing, performance testing, commissioning, and trouble shooting of mechanical systems is strongly desired. Also required is a working knowledge of industry standards for oil and gas equipment and the ability to develop and maintain technical standards and guidelines.
